As a whole, business has different fields that connect back to each other in many ways.  Although respective business fields do have differences, they all connect in common practices or concepts of business. All business-related fields hold certain general aspects such as profit margins, debit and credit, and most importantly, money. In companies, fields such as accounting, statistics, and finance all hold separate positions, but they do have some interaction. In addition, a lot of business related jobs work in tandem with each other and rely upon the other. I recall that I have spent a summer helping out at a coffee shop when I was younger. The coffee shop was located at a city famous for tourism and sight seeing spots. When I chatted with the owner, he told me about difference in profit due to season change, climate change, new trending, and many other possible elements. One hand on experience of business I had was on the field of sales and marketing. I got the opportunity from the Entrepreneurship Club at school. There was an event during Halloween for the small businesses in town, and the students, including me, opened stands at the town fair to sell the products of the shops in town. I represented a craft shop and sold handmade soap for them. Single handedly, my three-person team was in charge of both marketing and selling the soaps. I interviewed my dad a small business owner from my home town. He co-owns a small auto part business with my grandfather that they started up when he finished college. His business is similar to other small businesses, but also different. With his company being the size that it is he does not do a lot of writing. He communicates with his customers, suppliers, and co-workers, through emails, communication on the phone, mail, or via text message. He will send out invoices, and statements either electronically, or through the mail. Communication with his co-workers is done through, email, phone calls, or over text message. Formality is used for customers and suppliers while a more open form of communication is used for co-workers.
