Careers For Business Majors
Graduating college, getting a degree, and then getting a well paying job are some common goals for most college students. Finding a well paying job could be one of the more stressful things college students deal with. To find a well paying job you need to get a degree that will set you apart from the rest.
A business degree is unique because coming straight out of college you can go into a variety of different fields. Out of all bachelor degrees awarded in the US, one third of those degrees are business (cnbc.com, 2016). The vast amount of career opportunities allows some business graduates to get a high paying job straight out of college. If you are one of the lucky ones you could be making up to six figures a year. ThinkAdvisor.com released “15 Best Paying Jobs for College Business Majors: 2016” and the lowest paying job on the list was a tax compliance manager making $97,900 a year. Other jobs on the list include finance director, bank examiner, tax director, and treasurer. Coming in at number one on the list is chief investment officer which makes $186,000 a year. Chief investment officers, or CIOs, are in charge of raising capital for the company and negotiating investment deals on behalf of the company.
